A little Holiday Spirit

We are getting into the Holiday spirit over here, today Oliver got his picture taken with Santa. Although he has no idea what is going on, it was pretty cute.
Wednesday night we head out of town to go see Darin's family for Thanksgiving and lucky for me after Thanksgiving I can officially start playing Christmas music, Darin is one of those Scroogey types who forbids Christmas music before a specific time he deems appropriate, but it's all good I sneak it when I can ;)
So here you go friends and family something to get you into the Holiday spirit, Oliver and Santa!

Happy Holidays!

This Christmas...

... I am sending out Christmas cards! I am pretty excited about it, I just ordered them and they are pretty darn cute (because Oliver is on the front of them).

A little bit of everything... lately

Well, the things I had going on that made these last few months a little crazy have come and gone and now I can sit back and enjoy the Holiday Season. Although I am happy to not have any obligations looming in the distance, it is kind of bitter sweet that it is all over (Two of my childhood best friends are married ladies and I am so so happy for them and their sweet husbands).

Time flies by and I am reminded of that everyday having to watch Oliver grow more and more unrecognizable from the baby I gave birth to almost 7 months ago. I absolutely love this time of year and now that Darin and I are starting our family the Holidays are only going to get better. Focusing on Oliver and  our future kids will be so much more fun than when we were the kids receiving all the Christmas loot.

As of lately (being the month of thanks giving and giving thanks) I see a lot of people naming something they are thankful for each day via my Facebook feed and twitter account, although I have not joined in on this tender trend I would like to take some time and write down a few things I am thankful for this season and always.

A loving Father in Heaven
My sweet, loving and extremely hard working husband
My beautiful son who has allowed me to have the GREATEST job in the whole world (being a mom)
My amazing parents, in-laws, siblings and my sweet grandparents (and pretty much all family!)
My dear friends (it has always been about quality over quantity for me, and the ones I have are very high quality :)   )
My fur babies and the joy they bring our family (especially Oliver)
A home to live in
Food in our tummies
Clothes on our backs
A beautiful world created for us to enjoy
Good Health
Knowledge and the extensive resources that are so readily at our fingertips
A desire to learn and better myself and my family
Living in the United States of America, The land of the free!

What are you thankful for?

Happy Holiday warm sweaters, fireplace nights, hot cups of cider, cozy decorations season!

I will leave y'all with some photos from the last few months
